Description
DESCRIPTION
The prefabricated waterproofing membranes of the SINTOGUM series are obtained by coextrusion of a compound based on elastoplastomeric bitumen-polymer and a “non-woven” polyester reinforcement stabilised for the SINTOGUM PE and PE/ARD versions, or in reinforced glass mat for the SINTOGUM
They are available with visible talc-treated side (PE and W, in thicknesses of 3 and 4 mm), or covered with slate flakes (ARD/PE, with a mass per unit area of 4 and 4.5 kg/m²).The SINTOGUM PE versions can also be supplied with TEXTENE°, finishing, consisting of a layer of
preformed film- textured polymer fibres, which gives the finished product a high added value, improving its durability and appearance. The TEXTENE” finishing treatment, in place of normal talc-treatment, also allows greater cleaning during laying operations and a lower “environmental impact” in terms of the release of powdery substances, and is effectively recycled with suitable compatible paints: TEXTENE” finish in fact improves the application and the adhesion of the protective treatments of waterproof membranes, increasing the duration of both the painting and the waterproofing layers themselves. A particular benefit derives from the
possibility of applying the paints immediately after laying of the sheets with obvious advantages in the economic “cover” of the application.
The lower surface is coated with the TERMOTENE film which facilitates application and improves the adhesion of the membrane to the substrate.
SINTOGUM membranes are produced in rolls, taped and equipped with Quality Control strips. They
comply with the requirements for CE marking where required. They do not contain asbestos, tar or
other dangerous substances.
